2V Traction

2V-Traction are mainly used in heavier industrial applications. Such as e.g. forklifts, cleaning machines, aerial work platforms, electric transpallet.... Usually 2V cells are mounted in a battery-pack of several cells. 12 cells = 24 volts - 40 cells = 80 volts. The most common 2V traction cells belong to the PZS series (Din cell 198mm wide) and PZB series (British Standard 158mm wide). Both series are lead acid batteries with liquid electrolyte. The PZV series are 2V maintenance-free GEL cells. These sealed and maintenance-free 2V GEL cells no longer need to be refilled with demineralized water and cannot leak. These are mainly used in internal applications or in medical and chemical sectors. Traction batteries are thus ideally suited for deep and long-term discharges. It is important to use a suitable charger depending on the battery and capacity.
